  • Arch type. Your arch type – low, medium, or high – is important to understand so you can mitigate potential foot problems. Your arch type is used to identify the appropriate orthotic and shoe cushioning for you.

  • Measurements. In addition to your US and UK shoe sizes, the scan includes your foot length and width (in centimeters), instep height, arch height, and girth of your feet. The scan will also identify the difference in the sizes between your feet.

  • Pressure points. Using heat sensors, the Aetrex 3D scan identifies the maximum pressure on the heel (rearfoot) and ball (forefoot) of both feet; how much area of your foot makes contact with the ground; and, the percent of the weight distribution across your feet.

  • Shoe size. Learn your US and UK shoe sizes, as measured via 3D technology. Keep in mind that sizes between footwear brands and shoe types may vary, so the size will be used as a starting point. If you purchase orthotics, you may require a larger-sized shoe.
