Sole Dimensions is a total foot-care retail store focusing on the art and practice of selecting and fitting shoes that are right for your foot type and activity.

What does all this really mean? It means that at Sole Dimensions we take the time to understand YOU AND YOUR FEET with a thorough biomechanical assessment and gait analysis.*

At the end of your session will we be able to pinpoint your primary foot type, educate you about your biomechanics, and discuss areas of concern. We will explain how the proper shoe or orthotic can ease your foot, knee, hip or back pain and discomfort.

Our analysis and corrective services include:

  • 3-D Foot Scanning. Using state-of-the-art foot scanning technology by Aetrex, you will receive a personalized 3D view of your foot. Step onto “Albert” and get information including your foot length, width, in-step and arch depth, pronation angle, as well as pressure points, indicating where you could be prone to discomfort or pain, and so much more. This technology is integrated with the treadmill used in the gait analysis (see below) making this a truly unique all-in-one foot analysis experience.

  • Assessment of lower limb biomechanics. Your feet, ankles, knees, hips, and back all work in concert to help you stand, walk and run. Did you know if there is an issue with either one or both of your feet, you could experience pain in your back and other joints as well? During our hands-on biomechanics assessment we test your foot’s range of motion; determine your foot type – using a 24 foot type algorithm; and, identify any boney protrusions, swelling, or discoloration. We point out any issues and discuss the impact this can or could have on your ability to walk comfortably.
  • Corrective Orthotic Fittings. Sole Dimensions carries several different brands of arch supports and other foot care accessories, but it is important that you are fitted properly. Bring in your orthotic prescription and we will create a cast and make your custom orthotics right here, in our orthotic lab. We can adjust and tweak your orthotics to make sure they are right. We also offer Quadrasteps® pre-fabricated corrective orthotics designed from a cast of six specific foot types (we will identify yours during our assessment). Many of our customers experience immediate improvement in pain and discomfort when they step into the right orthotic in the right shoe.
  • Gait analysis. Step on our treadmill where we can watch you walk or run in place and assess your foot alignment. With a camera focused on you as you walk, we can review this frame-by-frame to point out issues from heel strike through toe off and explain how this could lead to injury or may affect the way you walk or run. Identifying your ankle, foot and leg movement is an important process in guiding you towards the best shoe for your needs.
  • Footwear Recommendations. We have a full line of walking, running and lifestyle footwear designed with comfort and style in mind. We will find a footwear solution that helps prevent pain, restores function, and helps you maintain proper walking form and balance. Whether that solution includes socks, orthotics, or shoes, you can rest assured that our recommendation is determined through science and by listening to your concerns and needs.
