Hallowed Half Marathon & 10 K Sunday October 25, 2015

The fourth annual Hallowed Half Marathon and 10k Event by Signature Races, promises to deliver Halloween fright and goose bumps like never before.  The half marathon course will start at the  Factory and encompass the downtown Wake Forest and Heritage area. The 10K course is an out and back through Heritage. The courses have rolling hills with some spooky fun adventures along the way.
*All participants must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace during the race. Failure to maintain this pace will result in a participant being asked to move onto the sidewalk or shoulder of the road.The roads will NOT be closed for this event.

Race Venue  13200 Falls of Neuse Rd   Wakefield Tavern

There will be a 100 minute time limit for the race. This means all participants must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace during the race. Any participant exiting the Greenway after 8:50am will be asked to move onto the sidewalk to return to the finish line.

Every participant must be in adequate health and sufficiently trained for the race.  Please consult your physician before beginning any endurance training program.

Girls Run the World Sprint Triathlon


Sunday, April 27th, 2014. 16247_4016On this day, you will accomplish more than you thought possible. You will overcome doubt, fear and adversity. And you will beam with pride, strength and joy while doing it. Are you ready? Take this chance to inspire yourself and someone else! Girls Run The World is a triathlon for females ages 13 and up. This 3rd year event will be held at the state of the art Rex Wellness Center facility in Wakefield. This Super-Sprint tri consists of a 250 yard swim in an indoor saline pool, a 10 mile bike ride and a 2 mile run through the beautiful Wakefield community. Maybe you have overcome obstacles in your own life – sickness, injury, grief – and now you have a chance to compete in a triathlon with dedication, positive attitude and fierce determination. This race is for women daring to toe the start line for the very first time, women who have battled personal challenges to become stronger, women who have found fortitude in their golden years or after having children, and for women who want take their lives and their future into their own hands. Relax….. smile….. open your eyes and go…… the feelings you will experience during the race and the sense of accomplishment at the end are priceless. Finishing IS Winning.

MOAR finalMother of All Races 10K & 5K

Sunday, May 11th, 2014.We are proud to partner with RunRaleigh Races to present the “Mother of all Races 10K & 5K on Mother’s Day. The race will start on New Falls of Neuse at the Wakefield Crossings shopping center and will use the Neuse Greenway. The scenic course is on the Neuse Greenway alongside the Neuse River. We welcome all level of runners and walkers to join us on Mother’s Day to support this local run. We are encouraging children to join us for this event. We will have local vendors, great music, and special recognition of all Survivors.

The race will benefit The Pretty in Pink Foundation.The Pretty in Pink Foundation is a local charity (501c3) whose mission is to provide financial assistance to uninsured and underinsured breast cancer patients with quality, life-saving medical treatment regardless of their ability to pay.

Sunday, June 22, 2014. Help Turning Miles into Smiles, a local fundraising program, raise money for The Smile Train. Since 2008, Turning Miles into Smiles has raised funds for Smile Train and the local Wake Forest area Backpack Buddies. 2014 marks our 7th year! We’ve raised over $188,000 for Smile Train since we started. Join us for a beginner friendly (i.e. short pool swim) race that provides a fast bike route (i.e mostly flat), and a neighborhood supported run course.

RexSprintTri2010_largeRex Wellness Sprint Triathalon

Join us for one, two or all three of the Rex Wellness Triathlons across the Triangle.

All three triathlons offer their own unique features and challenges. The 250 yard pool swim will take place in the Rex Wellness Center lap pool of each location. Participants will then make their way to the bike course. The Garner bike course is the fastest of all the REX races and is great for beginners. While the Wakefield and Knightdale courses are more technical and will offer some nice flats and a few climbs. Each race will finish up with a run (2.0 miles for Garner and Knightdale, 3.1 for Wakefield).  Post race snacks and water will be available at the finish line and water station are positioned as you exit the transition area and at the turnaround on the run.
